The Resurrection

After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.

There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”

So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”

The guards’ report
While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.’ If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.” So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day.

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Van Jones has resigned — as announced at midnight on a Saturday night before a holiday weekend.

Does that seem strange to anyone else?

Here’s the REAL importance of Van Jones’ resignation: it proves once and for all the genie is out of the bottle in terms of resistance to Dr. Utopia’s longerm plans for socialism in this nation.

The MSM refused to cover anything relating to Van Jones, because every crazy, racist, hateful thing this lunatic said is too reminiscent of all the crazy, racist, hateful things Jeremiah Wright said…and that Dr. Utopia, his wife, and Oprah Winfrey listened to and ate up for all those years at Trinity United.

Can’t report on Van Jones, and who he really is, without reporting on the similar beliefs held by Dr. Utopia, his “fashion icon” wife, and Lake Michigan’s own herds-of-cattle-devouring Charybdis, Oprah.

Can’t do that, now can they?

And yet — with no media coverage whatsoever — Van Jones was forced to resign, because people on the Internet caught wind of who he really was and conservatives and moderates stood up with outrage. Dr. Utopia was forced to backpedal on his plan to brainwash our nation’s school children into creepy, singing, Obots on National “Give Me Your Children” Indoctrination Day September 8th, because the blogosphere has been up in arms about his insistence of spending “quality Utopia Time” alone with small children he doesn’t know.

The Internet gaveth much to Dr. Utopia in his campaign…and now it taketh much from his presidency.

When Sarah Palin, private citizen, can take down the Liberals’ poorly conceived and amateurishly managed healthcare push USING ONLY SPORADIC POSTINGS ON FACEBOOK, despite the MSM’s best efforts to marginalize and destroy her, you know the MSM is officially irrelevant…a worthless propaganda arm of the rotting Democratic party.

The full scope of all this is not clear…but Van Jones is a turning point. It will be seen as such in time. Conservatives and moderates are mobilizing for the first time ever. They are banding together and defeating socialism, radicalism, and communism even with the MSM in full onslaught mode, working feverishly to protect Dr. Utopia.

THE MSM IS FAILING.

DR. UTOPIA IS FLAILING.

Obama’s Tone-Deaf Health Campaign

The president shouldn’t worry about the protestors disrupting town hall meetings. He should worry about the Americans who have been sitting at home listening to him.

The president has a problem. For, despite a great election victory, Mr. Obama, it becomes ever clearer, knows little about Americans. He knows the crowds—he is at home with those. He is a stranger to the country’s heart and character.

He seems unable to grasp what runs counter to its nature. That Americans don’t take well, for instance, to bullying, especially of the moralizing kind, implicit in those speeches on health care for everybody. Neither do they wish to be taken where they don’t know they want to go and being told it’s good for them.

Who would have believed that this politician celebrated, above all, for his eloquence and capacity to connect with voters would end up as president proving so profoundly tone deaf? A great many people is the answer—the same who listened to those speeches of his during the campaign, searching for their meaning.

It took this battle over health care to reveal the bloom coming off this rose, but that was coming. It began with the spectacle of the president, impelled to go abroad to apologize for his nation—repeatedly. It is not, in the end, the demonstrators in those town-hall meetings or the agitations of his political enemies that Mr. Obama should fear. It is the judgment of those Americans who have been sitting quietly in their homes, listening to him.

Frankly, I’m beginning to feel a lot like Howard Beale, the character portrayed by Peter Finch in the 1976 release, “Network.” He insisted that people get up right now and go to the window, open it, stick their heads out and yell, “I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take it anymore!”

I’ve always heard that misery loves company. If true, misery in America has more company these days than it knows what do with.

I realize that conservatives have felt this way ever since the Democrats nominated the Chicago crony of Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Tony Rezko, Rod Blagojevich and the assorted felons at ACORN, to be our president, but why aren’t millions of honest, decent, hard-working Democrats up in arms? I can guarantee that if a Republican president had done half the things that Obama has pulled off in his first half year, most of us on the right would be calling for his head. At the very least, none of us would be kissing his heinie…..

An item from the Canadian Press: Will America be celebrating DEPENDENCE Day from now on?

Dear JB,

I am a professional military man, retired but still ready, willing and able to honor my oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies…” – The bunch of traitors, terrorists and conquistadors that presently hold “elected” and appointed office in our nation’s capitol have no intention of honoring the U.S. Constitution. Their intent is the destruction of the republic, the oppression of liberty, the crushing of all resistance and the establishment of a global government.

When Cap and Trade is passed by the Senate and signed into law by Obama, the destruction of our nation will progress rapidly. Millions will be out of work. The cost of living will skyrocket and as this process progresses, violence will fill this country. This will be the excuse for new powers for the government and for United Nations troops to patrol our streets.

The people will be disarmed door to door by troops that hate Americans. The U.S. armed forces will be down sized and those that remain, kept out of the country to protect the usurpers who are destroying this nation. The blood of liberty lovers will flow in the streets. Civil war will erupt as parents see the destruction of their families and millions of “domestic terrorists” who refuse to renounce their belief in God, Liberty and our Republic, finally resort to armed rebellion to save what they can, much too late. Once again, a dark age will fall upon the world and it will be darkest in what was once the free republic known as the United States of America.

In the name of “change” we have sold our nation, our liberty, our future and the soul of America to the forces of evil. We have sewed the wind and we will reap the whirlwind.

I do not believe any longer that this Republic can be saved. Those of us who care are not yet ready to do what needs to be done, to pay the price to retain our liberty and cage our government. Our enemies know this truth better than we. It will take force to drive this evil government from power just as it took force to establish our republic.

For those of us who swore allegiance to the Constitution, this act is not yet feasible. We just can’t admit what we know in our hearts. To even think this, is treason under the new “hate crimes” laws. The forces of Global dominion have planned well and have captured the media, education and now our government is fully in their control.

The last hope for this Republic, short of Divine intervention, is the United States Military and as long as the high command remains in the pocket of the oppressors, there is no hope.

My advice, – get right with God, do whatever you can to protect and preserve your family, keep yourself informed, keep a low profile. When the opportunity arises, defend the Republic to the best of your ability. Do not expect mercy from the oppressors and finally, live free and die hard. God save the Republic.

“Obama’s campaign to erase individuality and ambition reminds me of my old life in communist Slovenia.”

Perhaps the most disturbing sight for me during the campaign — even more than Obama before the mobs in Berlin — was the corn-fed Midwestern couple starring on one of Obama’s commercials. Those were the people that I grew up with — salt of the earth. But I winced as I heard them tell Obama about their personal problems with bills and health care while soft music played in the background creepily.

They wanted him to take care of them. True to form, while North Korea conducted nuclear tests, Obama hailed his credit card reform — as if we are incapable of reading the fine print or making a phone call on our own. While young protesters longing for fair elections died in the streets of Tehran, Obama signed a bill to protect us from cigarettes. Now Obama wants to tell us what medical procedures we should have, how much we should earn, and what kinds of cars we should drive.

What are the responses to complaints about such violations of our “unalienable right” to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”? Frequent proclamations by the White House press secretary, by the secretary of state, and by the president himself of “we won.” And during his June 23 press conference, when presented with criticisms about his response to Iranian protests, Obama royally proclaimed twice, “I’m president.” So much for “of the people, by the people, and for the people.” Now it’s only the “people” who voted for Obama.

Don’t give them one penny. Don’t give them one vote.

If they cannot hold the line on this travesty of a bill, when pray tell will they EVER?

They are worthless to the conservative cause. They should be voted OUT in 2010.
Let them know that at the next Tea Party. Let them hear us. We the People are coming!

STOCKHOLM – Angry demonstrators broke into the Iranian Embassy outside Stockholm on Friday, climbing in through shattered windows and injuring one embassy worker, police said.

More than 150 people had gathered outside the embassy to protest against the Iranian regime, when some of them attacked the building with rocks and tore down a fence to enter the embassy grounds, police spokesman Ulf Hoglund said.

“A few managed to climb through broken windows into the building,” Hoglund said. He said one member of the embassy staff was injured inside the building, but didn’t know how seriously.

Fifty police officers and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene. Hoglund said police had evicted the demonstrators from the building and arrested one person.

Organizers of the demonstration said a few of the protesters were injured in clashes with the embassy’s security officers.

“We want a regime change,” said Firouzeh Ghaffrpour, one of the organizers. “The Islamic system is not wanted by the people of Iran.”

What’s “Dis-orderly?”

While state Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen perhaps has the letter of the law on his side, we are pleased to hear that Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn would have his officers question anyone carrying a gun openly in public.

Flynn’s response follows Van Hollen’s opinion that carrying a gun in the open does not necessarily violate disorderly conduct laws.

That may be true, but it doesn’t mean there aren’t or shouldn’t be limits.

Umm, the ‘limits’ are spelled out in the Constitution and the laws of the State of Wisconsin. What part of ‘right to bear arms’ eludes you, asshat? In the absence of any other unlawful activity, the carrying of a firearm is legal, and is not subject to search and seizure.

The Constitution: read it. Learn it. Embrace it.
