A new wave of anti-Obama memorabilia is hitting the shelves — from T-shirts to bumper stickers to buttons — as the president’s economic and health care policies divide the nation.

Popular slogans such as “Mama for Obama” have been retooled to “To the Mama for Obama — thanks for the tax hike.”

“Yes, we can” has become “No, he can’t.”

“The Audacity of Hype” has replaced the title of Obama’s popular book, “The Audacity of Hope.”

“It really started peaking about a month ago,” Amy Maniatis, vice president of marketing at the online seller Cafepress.com, told The Washington Times.

“You see it as a direct response to some of the promising messages that happened a year ago. Whereas we had the campaign of Obama centered around hope, and it was a very optimistic message, now they’re asking: ‘How’s that hopey-changey thing going?’”

In the “How Stupid Do They Think We Are?” Department …….

On this weekend’s “This Week with George Stephanopolous,” Vice President Joe Biden said: “We misread how bad the economy was.”

He and Obama “misread” how bad the economy was?!

Pardon me, but weren’t they elected on the basis of their self-touted ability to manage the economy back to relative health? Didn’t they slam into Senator John McCain as inept on economic issues, as a man incapable of reading the economy and crafting appropriate policies to bring it back? Didn’t The Bama position himself as the Only One who could fix it? Didn’t he promise to deliver results, such as keeping unemployment to 8% if he were elected and his policies implemented?

And how.

And yet, here we are, at 9.5% unemployment and rising, home foreclosures at record levels and climbing, and multiple industries—including those which have received hundreds of billions of dollars in federal bailout money, from banks to the auto industry—in collapse and/or in bankrupcy.

The trillions of dollars The Bama and his socialist posse have already spent have accomplished absolutely nothing. In fact, all of this government intervention has made things worse.

The Biden says they “misread” how bad the economy was? You “misread” how many calories are in a Snickers bar. You don’t “misread” how bad the economy is…

"You Are Toast"

Don’t give them one penny. Don’t give them one vote.

If they cannot hold the line on this travesty of a bill, when pray tell will they EVER?

They are worthless to the conservative cause. They should be voted OUT in 2010.
Let them know that at the next Tea Party. Let them hear us. We the People are coming!

The New American Tea Party – coming to a town near you!  Even Arlo Guthrie is getting into the act. Now these Tea Parties are showing up all over America – to protest the bailouts and the whole crazy financial mess.  Check it out – there’s probably one being organized in a town close to where you live.  Many of them are scheduled on or around April 15th – Tax Day.

Tea Party

The Economist, a leading publication that supported Barack Obama for President, now seems to be wondering – “What were we thinking”:

Mr Obama has had a difficult start. His performance has been weaker than those who endorsed his candidacy, including this newspaper, had hoped. Many of his strongest supporters—liberal columnists, prominent donors, Democratic Party stalwarts—have started to question him. As for those not so beholden, polls show that independent voters again prefer Republicans to Democrats, a startling reversal of fortune in just a few weeks. Mr Obama’s once-celestial approval ratings are about where George Bush’s were at this stage in his awful presidency. Despite his resounding electoral victory, his solid majorities in both chambers of Congress and the obvious goodwill of the bulk of the electorate, Mr Obama has seemed curiously feeble.
